FAMILY ISSUE SYNOPSIS

Following is a synopsis of the significant issues that families and high profile clients face, and the work proposed to help resolve these issues in order to maximize productivity, a sense of purpose and true happiness.

Family Issue SynopsisHigh-profile and high-net-worth families face a number of challenges:

  • The emotional complexity of working with family and creating a healthy relationship with wealth
  • Confronting complex family and inner circle disputes, such as; unresolved issues concerning how the family/business handles discussions regarding control, the decision-making process and the tactics of preserving wealth over generations.
  • Inner circle dependence and a lack of truthful, objective and valuable guidance and support
  • Dealing with an underlying struggle of identity, e.g. – how to manage the gap between who you are and how the press chooses to portray you; how to live a life that is fulfilling and authentic under the constant eye of the press

There can also be disconcerting isolation when dealing with high-stakes issues such as divorce, termination, partnership dynamics, dependence, and other personal and private challenges. The following questions are common:

  • How do I process and work through challenging pivots in my career and personal life?
  • Who can I trust to be courageously direct, understand the issue/opportunity and who has the experience to give advice and help drive change?
  • How do I find and develop trusting partnerships with people, who will look out for my best interest; that challenge me V enable counter-productive behaviors?
  • How do I negotiate and navigate family dynamics by being clear about what I need and want while understanding the importance of moving on and being fulfilled in the process?
  • How do I develop close relationships, which include mutual altruism?
